What room types are available in Cambrils Park?

Occupancy options typically include quadruple and quintuple rooms (two bedrooms). Triple, double and single rooms, and larger family units, have a supplements and are limited. You can choose room types on the rooming list in myteam info page.

How do we register a team?

Registration is done entirely on our website: www.footballcupbarcelona.com. You don't need to email us to book — just complete the registration online to secure your place.

How much does it cost, and where are the prices?

All prices are listed on the website under "Prices" for your specific edition and hotel. We don't quote separately by email because the online prices are always current.

Do you arrange flights?

No — flights are arranged by each team. We provide the hotel, transfers and tournament package; you book your own flights to suit your group.

Do you organise excursions like PortAventura?

Yes. We can organise a PortAventura tour and other excursions as add-ons. You can see available excursions in myteam info page, and book right there.

What are the key deadlines after I book?

A typical timeline (October edition example): ~6–8 weeks before: deadline for rooming list, players list, travel info and team photo on My Team InfoShortly after: you receive your final invoice~3–4 weeks before: final payment deadline~1–2 weeks before: match schedule is published Exact dates are confirmed for each edition — check your confirmation email.

When is the match schedule released?

The schedule is published shortly before the tournament — roughly 1–2 weeks beforehand. The exact date is in your booking timeline.

Is a deposit required to book?

No deposit is required. You simply pay the team registration fee to confirm your place (for example, €600 for a team). The balance is paid later, ahead of the final payment deadline.

Are supporters and family members charged differently from players?

No. The price is per person and is the same for everyone — players, coaches and supporters all pay the same per-person rate.

By when do we need to provide flight details?

Travel info (including flight numbers) is requested ahead of the tournament — the booking page may state a date such as November. You don't have to book your flights by then; you can book later, but please send the details once you have them.

Can we book a training pitch before the tournament?

Yes, teams can train on friday, day before tournament starts. Indicative pricing is around €100/hour for half a field and €160/hour for a full field. You must organise your own transport for training session.

How do I pay, and what reference should I use?

The balance is paid by bank transfer against your final invoice. Always include the correct payment reference shown on your invoice so we can match it. We'll confirm by email once payment is received. If you can't download your invoice from the booking system, email us and we'll send it.

Are there tournament photos, and how do we get them?

Photographers cover the tournament and photos are made available afterwards. Coverage of any individual team/game can't be guaranteed, but contact us about accessing photos from your matches.

Do I need final player and family numbers before registering?

No. Register your team first to secure the spot, then add and update your numbers (players, coaches and supporters) afterwards via the "My Team Info" page. We only need an estimate at registration — exact numbers come later.

What does the per-person price include?

The per-person package covers accommodation, tournament entry, transfers and related services. The exact inclusions for your hotel and edition are on the "Prices" page.

What's the maximum number of people per room?

The maximum occupancy is 4 people per room. Larger families are split across rooms — you can note on your rooming list which rooms should be next to each other (e.g. "Room 1 next to Room 2") and we'll pass this to the hotel.

Can the coach pick us up and drop us off at different airports?

Yes. If, for example, you arrive at Reus airport and depart from Barcelona airport, that's fine — transfers can be arranged for different arrival and departure airports.

What is the cancellation policy?

For participation fees and excursions: cancelling more than 60 days before the tournament incurs a 0% fee; cancelling less than 60 days before incurs a 100% fee per person. Because of this, we strongly recommend taking out travel insurance.

Someone left an item on the coach / at the hotel — what do we do?

Email us as soon as possible with the bus number (if known), where you were dropped off, and a description (and photo) of the item. We'll contact the coach company and hotel to try to recover it.

How do I update my team information after booking?

Each confirmed team gets a "My Team Info" link and a Team-ID by email. Use it to add or edit your rooming list, players list, squad numbers, travel dates and team photo. If the link won't let you change something (e.g. dates or accommodation type), email us and we'll update it for you.

Is there a discount for triple or quadruple rooms?

Yes - a discount 25% applies for children in triple and quadruple rooms, if sharing with two adults.

We have a family of 5 — how does that work?

Since the maximum is 4 per room, a family of 5 is split across two rooms. Choose two rooms in the rooming list for family of 5.

Are airport transfers included, and can parents use the shuttle buses?

Transfers between the airport, hotel and pitches are included in the package. Parents and supporters can travel on the shuttles too, provided they booked through us.

A player can't travel (e.g. injury) — can we get their money back?

You must tell us before the tournament so the person can be removed in time — we can't process anything after the event if we were never notified they weren't coming. Even then, refunds follow the cancellation policy above, which is why travel insurance is strongly recommended.

We had a great time — can we book again for next year?

Yes, and many clubs return annually. October and April/Easter editions open well in advance and popular age classes fill early, so register early on the website to secure your place.

Can I register more than one team, and how do I name them?

Yes. Register each team separately on the website. If you want specific names (e.g. "Club Name – Red" and "Club Name – White"), register them and email us the exact names and we'll update them. If you don't receive a confirmation email for a second team, check your spam folder.

Do young children stay for free?

Very young children (under 2) can stay free when sharing a twin or triple room with adults. Children 2-12 years old in triple or quadruple room with minimum two adults get 25% discount.

Where do we meet the tournament rep at the airport?

After you collect your luggage and clear into the arrivals area, gather your whole group together — our rep meets groups in arrivals. In Reus and Girona you must find the bus with your team name in the parking.

If you can't accept our team, do we get the registration fee back?

Yes. If we're unable to accept a team (for example, the relevant country/region quota for that age class is already full), we refund the team registration fee.

How do I change the contact person or team name?

You can edit team details in my team info page. You can find link to myteam info page in your registration confirmation email.

Can we add extra nights / stay longer?

Extra nights are possible, but only if the entire group extends together — the room price applies to the whole group staying, not individual rooms. Send us your dates and we'll confirm.

The tournament didn't go ahead / we can't travel — can we transfer our payment?

If a tournament doesn't take place, your registration fee can be moved to any of our other tournaments (editions run around October and April/Easter each year).

When do registrations open for a future edition?

Registrations for each edition open well in advance — almost year ahead. If a tournament's registration isn't open yet, the information and prices are usually already on the website.

Matches

Each team will play a minimum five (5) matches.
All 11v11 matches with linesmen.
Playing time: 11v11 2×20min, 7v7 – 2×15min.
11v11 minimum 13 players, maximum 25 players per team, 7v7 – minimum 8 players, maximum 16 players per team.
Player can play only in one age class and only for one team in the tournament.
Only the coaching staff (maximum 2 coaches per team) with tournament bracelet can be on the team bench during the matches.
Maximum two teams per club per age class.

Age dispensations

Age dispensations will automatically be given to 4 players (2 players in 7v7) per team who are a maximum one year older.

Age check

Players must show proof of identity (passport or id-card).
Team coaches must show proof of identity (passport or id-card).
All team shirts must be numbered and the numbers must correspond to the numbers on the team list. Numbers must be on the backs of the shirts. Two players may not use the same number in any given match.

Insurance

All Clubs must have their players insured both on and off the field. Teams/clubs are reminded it is their responsibility to ensure players have private insurance, as in case of an injury European Health Card doesn’t cover sports injuries in Spain

Age Classes

What age groups can play, and where do I find them?

Age classes vary by edition and are listed on the website under the tournament's "Age Classes" page for the relevant dates. Check that page for the exact year groups in your tournament.

My players are slightly older than the age class — can they still play?

Players are placed by birth year. A maximum of 4 players born one year earlier can play in a younger age class if they play 11v11. In 7v7 age class it's maximum two older players.

Will my age group play 11-a-side or a smaller format?

The format depends on the age class and edition and is shown on the age classes page for your dates. Check there to confirm whether your group is 11v11 or 7v7 format.

The age class I want shows as "full" — can I still get in?

Some age classes fill up, and we apply caps on the number of teams per country/region in certain classes. When a class is full we usually keep a waiting list. Contact us to check — sometimes one space remains, or we can advise an alternative.

Do you have girls' age groups / a girls' tournament?

Yes. Some October editions include girls' age groups (listed on the website), and we also run a dedicated girls-only event, the Barcelona Girls Cup, in June (www.barcelonagirlscup.com). Check the age classes page of the relevant event for available year groups.

How many teams are usually in my age group, and what's the standard?

Numbers vary by class — often around 8–16 teams in a age class. You can see which clubs took part previously under "Results" on the website to get a feel for the level.

Tournament will be played in accordance with the regulations of the FIFA and the Spanish and Catalan Football Federation. Tournament is approved by Catalan Football Federation.

Age Control

The age control of all the players will take place before their first match. At this time each player must be present and show proof of identity (passport or id-card) and age.
Any player who is not able to present his document can not participate in the tournament. Player can only play for one team. Team coaches must show proof of identity (passport or id-card with photo).

IMPORTANT NOTE: If a player, who is not properly registered plays in a match, the team automatically loses the match 3-0.

Offside Rule

There is offside rule in the 7v7 matches. The offside rule applies from the offside line.

Group Matches

If two or more teams have the same number of points, the order will be decided as follows:

General goal difference
General goals scored
Result(s) of match(es) between those teams
Goal difference in match(es) between those teams
Goals scored in match(es) between those teams
Penalty kicks (5) according to FIFA rules

Play-off Matches

A draw in the playoff matches will be decided by penalty kicks (5) according to FIFA rules.

Substitutions

Substitutions may be made without stopping the game and without consulting the referee, using the following procedure: the player who is going to be substituted has to leave the field before the replacement enters the field and always by the zone of the benches. A substituted player may re-enter the match.

Playing Fields

All matches will played on artificial and natural grass pitches. It is strictly forbidden to use metal studs.

Players Equipment

All team shirts must be numbered and the numbers must correspond to the numbers on the team list. Numbers must be on the backs of the shirts. Two players may not use the same number in any given match.
If the referee decides that one team should change shirts due to similarity to the opposing team’s shirts, the team appearing second in the program must change.

Cautions and Sending-off Offences

Any player given a red card or two yellow cards in the same match is automatically suspended from participation in the following match.
The tournament jury can decide about suspension for further game(s) and Severe offences will be reported to the football federation in question.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If a player who is suspended is participating in a match, the team automatically loses the match 3-0.

Protest

All protests must be handed to a Tournament Official a maximum of 15 minutes after the end of the match. The protest fee is €100 which will be returned if the protest is sustained. No protests against referees will be accepted.

Teams Behaviour

Any team behaving badly during the competition (protests about referee’s decisions, clashes with rivals or with the organization) can be expelled from the tournament.
All serious cases of expulsion will be reported to the football federation in question.
Team leaders of the teams will be responsible for the attitude and behaviour of their players towards referees, opponents, public, organisation and facilities.

Four best teams of each age group get tournament trophy.
Winners of B/C/D final get tournament trophy.

Individual Trophies

Each player gets a medal.

In each age class there will be following trophies given to:

If two or more players have the same number of goals scored, the order will be decided as follows:

Higher final position of the team
Higher number of matches goals scored in
Goals scored in Final match
Goals scored in Semi-final match

Best Goalkeeper

(least goals conceded)

Higher number of matches played by the team
Higher final position of the team

Best Player

Will be chosen by the Organising Committee.

Insurance

Tournament will not assume responsibility in case of theft or damage to property, injuries or other actions of the public authorities or organization transport due to strikes.

Clubs are responsible for the participants at the tournament as they are the ones who have registered stating that all the players are physically able for the event. Tournament is not responsible for the damages that the participants cause to themselves or to other participants during the competition.

The tournament takes place at the Futbol Salou Sports Center (Futbol Salou), a dedicated sports complex located just down the coast from Barcelona.

All the matches in the tournament will be played at this fantastic football venue, which features 8 full-size fields - three high-quality natural grass and five latest-generation artificial grass fields. It provides a great central hub for the event, giving teams a professional setup where everything is in one place and the focus stays entirely on the games.

Hotel

Can we book our own / alternative accommodation?

No. Accommodation is part of the per-person package, so all participants must stay in our official tournament accommodation.

Which hotel will we be in, and when is it confirmed?

You'll be allocated to one of our official tournament hotels/resorts, specific named hotels can't always be guaranteed. In registration form usually is a option to choose Cambrils Park or hotel. The exact hotel name is usually confirmed about 15 days before the tournament.

Can we switch between Cambrils Park and Hotel accommodation?

Yes, where availability allows. Email us with your preference and arrival date and we'll change it if possible.

Can we add an extra player or person after booking?

Usually yes, subject to hotel availability, at an additional per-person cost. You can request additional room(s) directly in my team info page under rooming list.
